IT is no doubt that Singapore is tightening on its foreign labour market since little India riot. I am seeing my colleague's renewal on their pass rejected one after another. It is not pleasant experience to learn old guys with considerable experience also not getting exception. It looks like MOM is kicking out old guys with less salaries and welcome on freshers who has little knowledge with republic. Perhaps they may have different reason for doing so. For sure is all application from my company are seeing red and prompted HR dept to submit appeal letter to MOM.
Praying harder for colleagues who are pending with status for rejected while appealing. It is good to know that most of appeal cases ended with approved by experience. Anyhow, the applicants itself would be excited for the final outcome regardless of other's ones. Today, one of my colleague who is from same country had their appeal case approved and we all are happy for his successful extension despite there were some anxious time involved. It is never easy to see old colleague leave us and sharing his on-going jobs by remainders. The new replacement might not be as good as old one. On top of that, our fellow countrymen are usually not only work colleague but also lunch partners. As such, his good news make us happy too and wish all other fellow foreign workers who are trying to get pass or renewal get the result they want in quick manner.
