Defiant workers and ME

DURING the than taung project,
another problem we face is lacking skilled workers and company brought in semi-skilled workers to site as they are much easier to convince with an good incentive. As a result I am given some of them to conduct my works. Early morning, I have to assign ppl to its suitable area according to their skills. After allocation to all workers, I need to go and down this hill slope distance to ensure everybody is working properly.
ONEDAY I gave instruction to some of semi-skilled masons who are required to work at the lowest level of hillside. I explained how to do the stair by showing the drawing and even make a peg for their easy reference. They say yes and I went up to check other work area that are situated upper levels. Few hours later, I went back to check them if their works are done as per instruction. It's mine who feel disappointed by seeing what they have done upon my instruction. The work is not good enough to accept and I felt irritate. But I control my temper and asked them gentlely,

Me : wow, how come your stair goes wrong?
SW: what did I do wrong?
Me: It's obvious your stair is not right with vertical and horizontal aligned.
SW: I did as you told me.
Me: Ok, anyway I need you to repair it now.

Me: redo it
SW: I can't make it.
Me: why not?

Me: Alright, I'll do it unless you do (At the same time, I kicked the brick stair that is not settled yet and collapsed immediately). I lose my mind and shout at them to stop immediately here.
They: They seems so angry with my behavior and started to counter-attack to me by collecting the hand tools like shovel, broken bricks, etc.
Me: By understanding situation, I stepped backward and they keep chasing me.
They: Strike him,,,,chase and fight him,,,(by shouting and chased at me)
Me: I start to run back by backstroke and nobody stop them to do so.
Meanwhile, the surgent who is guarding at the opposite buildings saw the incident and shout at them, " what are you doing that?"
Me : get back top of hill and seek help at the office where a major is sitting for duty.
By understanding my situation, the major come out of his office and saw the workers who chased me, he shouted and asked them
Major: why are you doing like that?
They : Not really, captain, we just want to ask for unfair things.
Major: who made you unfair?
I step in front of them and told to major
Me: captain, I asked them to repair for wrong doing staircase.
Major: So
Me: They refused to my instruction to follow
Major: understanding briefly and started to question them,,,why you all don't want to follow engineer's instruction?,,,do you know where are you working now? I'll put all of you in the jail for non-discipilline.
They: we don't mean like that, captain
Major: no excuses give me,,,they evidents are enough ready, "surgent, arrest them all and put under the makeshift foot-trap for over night.
Surgent: yes Sir
Major : by turning head to me,,, don't worry engineer, I'll cover you more, do your work properly, inform me if ther is some similiar case in your site,,,OK?
Me : Thanks in deed for your understanding, captain
