JUST now HR manager delivered the bonus slip to the staffs in office. Hope it is not thank you bonus but not dare to expect fat one. We were suggested by our department head not to expect big one during last week QS meeting. According to fact, our company made 6 million plus profit in this financial year. As such, all workers are suppose to deserve extra earn in the form of appreciation to their hard working. Since MNC took over our original local SME, our dream on getting fat bonus has been broken. As there is no obligation by employer side regarding this bonus, we have no right to demand official. I'm writing this note before opening my slip envelop because my feeling may not be the same after witnessing the content.
Of course, we are happy when we are given bonus regardless of amount inside. It is spiritual feeling that make our productivity up. It's the feeling of one unit as a family. It's the form of appreciation by boss. In other words, it is the way of recognition of our whole year long hard works. Entering Chinese New Year with extra income is additional pleasure for us. Besides, it is in line with the famous saying of Goa Xi Fa Cai. May all workers able to celebrate a happy and prosperous Chinese New Year.
