Softening towards opposition voices ?

TODAY paper pressed one article named "Myanmar papers stop attacks on foreign media". I am interesting to read as it's rare to see my native country's news on local paper. We all know that our state run papers are not reliable to know what's actually happening within country. They are just only show for the good side of the government projects. It is the reason why most of our people switch on foreign media such as BBC, VOA, DVB, etc. Less or more, they are able to highlight government's activities timely and people are trusting in what they are broadcasting. No wonder, government back papers always put their slogans, accusing the VOA and BBC of "sowing hatred among the people" and other Western media of "generating public outrage" in the daily paper. The slogans always told readers not to be swayed by "killer broadcasts designed to cause troubles".

No matter how putting their slogans on paper, those western media gradually became Myanmar people's primary news sources to update them in time. No one would have thought that our junta back civilian government will stop such activities to degrade foreign media. So I must say this news is positive and the world would welcome such step. The today paper also see it as a sign of softening its stance towards opposition voices. Regardless of comment, for sure thing is it's good movement and we all have to welcome on any right step. I hope more of such things going to be happen in my mother land and the civilian government will get people's trust back in near future.

I herewith attach for one sample of slogans as it won't appear in future paper. Hopefully, I can tell my younger generation what had happened in our history when they are grown up. Perhaps they may need to go museum to learn such thing in future. Cheer, have a great leap, Mr. President.
