A WORD frequently shown this week on local paper I think is "Singaporeaness". The authority seem try to define the beautiful word for its people to understand. The most expressing answer to Singaporeaness is respecting multi-racial and religious. Does it really concern to Singaporean? It's challenging question to ask for. Through netizen world, we have seen so many shallow behavior of locals especially toward immigrant workers and newly join foreign born citizen. It'ld be impressive if majority of Singaporean comply the perfect definition of Singaporeaness. Yesterday, the latest survey find out some discrepancies between local born and foreign born Singaporean. The vast discrepancy come to how important is it towards national service. 69% of local born agree with NS while its foreign born fellow citizen support only 43%. It apparent to highlight two division of citizen among Singaporean despite they all are eligible to become Singaporean. As different people from the different background of life have been living together in the tiny island, it's understandable to witness their view goes untypical. I personally think, to fulfill the real definition of Singaporeaness will take longer time should the locals suppose to identify exactly. The above table would say louder than my words.
