I don't want to use scary method to tame my daughter in basis. However, it is sometime inevitable for us to avoid public noise when we are on public area as well as in-house. One particular thing our little daughter afraid with in Singapore is its trademark lion. Last year, we once visited maritime museum at sentosa island and lively lion formally greets all visitors just before the show. The lion's eyes turned red and producing smoke from its mouth. Our 1.5 years old daughter looked at that lion and feel scary. Since then, we used to refer to lion when she cry for non-sense things. It was quite effective for remedy to rectify her stubborn acts.
There is one acrobatic doll performing patrons at the roof garden of vivo city. Our daughter noticed that strangely black man when we visited last Sunday and added it for her another scary things. She used to tease her adult aunty by saying that 'the acrobatic doll will come and beat you if you do not eat foods properly'. In fact, it is our words to tame her wild manner sometime. We would say the said doll will come and check if the children in house are sleeping well or not at night time when she is so talkative without sleeping. Last night, the washing machine was rinsing and generate some sound that can be heard from our room. Our daughter notice the sound and asked her mum if it is acrobatic doll coming at home. My wife got idea and replied her, yes. It will enter our room if you do not sleep urgently. She immediately turn silent and fall asleep soon.
Next morning, just before we leave our room for work. Our daughter asked me if I needed to beat acrobatic doll last night to prevent entering our room. I said, yes of course, my dear. He wanted to check if you are well sleep or not and I answered him yes. Then he go back. My daughter look relief and perhaps feel secure to sleep with her Dad. I hope she'll realize the story later and our white lie may not affect her mind when she is grown up.
